899: Wyrdeer
And now a Pokemon that we continually call "Stantler" by accident because, I mean, look at it. It looks liked it aughta be another regional form, but it's classed as an evolution. Still though, it's nice to see Stantler get literally anything, now becoming a Normal/Psychic type, said to create invisible barriers with its psychic-powered antlers that look like radio antenna. It's disappointing its antlers don't really resemble eyes anymore, though.
Its design other than that isn't really wild. It has a Santa-like beard which is kinda funny, its beard hair apparently being really good for making clothing with. Other than that, it's just a taller Stantler. Which we guess is amazing if you're one of three people that thought Stantler was the peak of creature design, but it's not really wowing us any.

The antlers look like eyes with extra long eyelashes though
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Wyrdeer! I've always been a fan of Stantler and it's super exciting to see a new evolution for it that preserves the fun face and ups the weirdness of the antlers!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! We didn't comment on it but keeping the face is nice. Would imagine there's almost always a temptation to "normalize" something for the sake of mass appeal but it's nice for Wyrdeer to hang onto the weird bulbous face it has.
