190: Aipom

Gen 2's one-off oddballs like this are where a bit of the weakness for the Gen shows, if you ask me. Sudowoodo was great and fine, but ones like Aipom feel a bit like filler. Which is sad in a generation of only 100 new Pokemon. Aipom's an alright monkey with a face that you just KNOW is up to no good. Its design is more or less “Haha what if monkeys had hands on their tails?” With nothing else really going for it. It was an idea executed about as straightforward as possible.
