I got a question for ya, what's heavier? A kilogram of steel, or a kilogram of feathers?

227: Skarmory

Kicking things up a little bit is another one of those newfangled Steel types. It's honestly another "rule of cool" Pokemon very much in the same vein as a Scyther or Absol with how sleek and badass it looks, but to be fair "badass bird" wasn't nearly as common back then so Skarmory definitely stood out. And there's just something inherently cool about a bird with wings that look like they're made out of swords and a cool, pointed head.

We even like the cool detail it has in the Pokedex where it nests in brambles since it's metallic hide is unphased by the thorns. That's a super neat and well thought out little tidbit! There is sadly very little else to comment on it about, it's just a very well executed design for how simple the idea is!
