300: Skitty

A new house-cat Pokemon brings us at least a whole new flavor of cat! Skitty is much more overtly a kitten than Meowth, with the perpetually closed eyes and slightly scrunched face. It serves the niche well enough! The only "thing" to it, really, is that its tail looks a little like a built-in cat toy, which is a funny twist on the whole chasing one's own tail thing. The only thing really wrong with skitty are the nubs for legs, just personally we would've preferred paws.

301: Delcatty

Then comes its evolution, which ditches a lot of Skitty's charm in favor of more of a "fancy cat" persona, with the big fur coat-like neck ruff. It's very much a Pokemon that's fine enough for what it is but doesn't particularly excite us. It's better than Persian at least, but that's not a high bar at all. Maybe we'd like it better with a gentler expression closer to Skitty's but eh. It's cute! But that's about it.
