Entry 025: The Furious Sea King Couple

I'm sorry, I'm amused that they seem to think "Ruler of the entire ocean and summoner of giant tidal waves" warrants no more than 800 ATK. As far as a design goes, Sea King (not that one) is... underwhelming? As far as an underwater fantasy race goes, them being not sea creatures but rather something closer to monitor lizards is definitely unique. Just as usual, if you're gonna make a design that's meant to be a monster and not a fursona, I'd kinda hope an anthro design does something neat with animal anatomy, which this guy just... doesn't. He's just a lizard man with a human body.

That and it has some oddities when it comes to making a sea-race. Like, no webbed hands or feet? Just human toes? The hell?

It doesn't help that he doesn't even look very kingly to me. He looks more like a lowly soldier of a vaguely roman-inspired sea race, especially if you take off his cape (Which is buttoned onto his skin????? Umm?????).

"Night Lizard" here almost looks better solely because he looks a little more passable, with him being little more than a soldier. (Which apparently grants him 300 ATK more than the king of the ocean??????). But even so, other than some hair, that leaves him as just a generic lizard dude. These two are just a shame, cause a race of sea komodo dragons could've been cool.
