Mardi Gras!

Hisuian Braviary:

We know eagles live in more places than just the Americas, but Braviary just seems like such an odd choice for a regional form, even when they base it on an eagle species, the Stellar's Sea Eagle, which actually migrates to Hokkaido during the winter. It just felt like the definitive "US of A" Pokemon to a point where seeing it in a different context is odd.

But either way, this design is actually a bit more interesting than the patriotic version. This Psychic/Flying type is portrayed and surprisingly violent, said to blast lakes with psychic shockwaves and then swooping in to catch anything that floats to the surface, which is a hilariously terrifying concept for an eagle. One that can just stun you with psychic powers and then swoop in for the meal while you still can't move. Metal!

Design-wise it's little more than black and white (not that kind) Braviary, but now sporting a psychic-flaming head crest that looks a bit like an eye mask. Do very much like the wilder, more aggressive look, with wings that have more spread-out feathers and tailfin-shaped tail feathers. It's not a design that ascends so far past the original that it's mind-blowing or anything, it's just an even cooler eagle. And that's fine! Sometimes you just need an even cooler eagle.
