Entry 016: Winged Cleaver and its Do-Over
At LAST, we get to our first Insect type, which as you can imagine is another one that's up there as one of my favorites cause, well. You probably know how I am with cool bugs. Winged Cleaver here gives us a nasty-lookin' hornet that, rather than a stinger, it has a huge forearm with a scythe-like blade on the end of it. An interesting choice to do only one arm that has it, but it wins it a good bit of uniqueness. The only bummer is that the rest of it is pretty much just a hornet with no real surprises to it.
And then there's humble little Bladefly. Red is an interesting choice in color, seeing how some species of wasps and hornets come in red. Now that I think about it though, this thing is, oddly enough, half of a Mantidfly, with only one mantid-like forelimb but is otherwise hornet-like in appearance.
